New Urbanism communities, like The Shores, are designed for "Walkability"
A new report, "Walking the Walk: How Walkability Raises Housing Values in U.S. Cities," was commissioned by CEOs for Cities, a national network of urban leaders from the civic, business, academic and philanthropic sectors.
It's an important point for home-buyers who are trying to identify which homes will hold their value, said Joseph Cortright, the report's author and a senior policy adviser to CEOs for Cities. Cortright is an economist and president of Impresa, a Portland, Ore.-based consulting firm.
Walkable places have some of the best chances of performing well in years ahead, he said. You can download a copy of the report here |

It's a nice looking development, but I fear it is a little too remote to get a hot pizza delivered. How close is this place going to be to the new bridge?
Need to do a version of that video en español, por favor

This is not at all remote. It is the best of the best when it comes to communities on South Padre Island. and it is just past the convention center. Any pizza place would probably deliver there. Ole' Decor has a magazine that is done in spanish, I believe because they deliver in Monterrey. You might check their website www.oledecor.com to see if they have the TV show in spanish. |

These luxuary Townhomes are absolutly beautiful, I just love them. Not only is the construction design flawless, the interior is just breath taking and tastefully decorated. The water front views of the bay is so peaceful and prestine. Not only do you have the previlege to sit on the east balcony to watch the sunrise, you can also enjoy a beautiful sunset off the west balconies as well, there are balconies on every floor from front to back. This is just the perfect place for a family to live and enjoy the peace and tranquillity South Padre Island has to offer, especially in spectacular homes like these........ |

You are absolutely right. They are a great value too. The price per square foot is much less than anything for sale on the bay or beach. Now is the time to buy. Great prices. |
